Michelle deNijs

Michelle serves as the Communications Officer with AgWO, where she champions the power of connection and community. She holds a degree in International Development Studies with a minor in Agriculture from the University of Guelph and values the diversity within the agricultural sector. With a career largely rooted in the non-profit sector, Michelle has held a range of roles spanning research, farm production, community engagement, and agricultural policy. Raised on her family’s grain farm in Chatham-Kent, she brings a deep, personal understanding of the unique dynamics of farming life. As both a professional and a member of this community, Michelle is dedicated to bridging gaps by connecting people with meaningful resources. She is especially committed to reducing stigma around mental health and fostering open, supportive conversations that strengthen community ties.
